Reminder: Our New York Anime Fest voice acting contest still going on!

I love you guys. Seriously, I do. Every time I get an entry in for this contest, I have the biggest, dopiest grin slathered across my face. Each entry that's submitted brings joy to my heart.

So keep the entries coming in. It really doesn't take that long. All you need is a microphone -- even your mic from Rock Band will do -- Skype or some other audio recording software, and about 30 seconds of your time to try and say one of the phrases.

The deadline for the New York Anime Fest tickets are next week, September 15th. This way, we can make sure you get the tickets in time for the con itself, and you don't have to rush to find money for the tickets at the last minute. But, not all of you are located in the tri-state area, so we want to make sure not to exclude you from this.

So that's why the contest will continue, even after the September 15th deadline, until the end of the month. Why? Because our Miami office, as well as my basement and even Dale's house, are backlogged with tons and tons of DVDs, volumes of manga and other free stuff. We want to make sure that ends up in your hands. So keep sending in entries, no matter where you are in the world. I know you guys can enter. Remember, our email is tips@japanator.com. Some of you were wondering about Domon's line. The wording changes nearly every episode, so just as long as you get the version of his quote that says, "take this, my love, my anger..." Aslo, you can enter for as many of the four quotes as you'd like.

So now I'd also like to try and provide video clips of each of the quotes. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a good video of Char Aznable saying "Char Aznable says, let the purge begin!" Possibly because he only says it in Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2. Since I don't have a perfect working knowledge of the original Gundam series that Tomino directed, if you readers have a much better suggestion for the quote, then I'm game to replace it. So, onto the other videos:

Domon: "This hand of mine glows with an awesome power! It's loud roar tells me to defeat you! Take this! My love! My anger! And all of my sorrow!"

Kyon's sister: "Kyon-kun, denwa."
