We are gathered here today to celebrate the life of Wizard Entertainment’s Anime Insider Magazine. In the Name of Haruhi, the merciful tsundere, we commit the body of Anime Insider to the peace of the grave. Anime Insider, back in 2001 was nothing more than a one shot anime magazine named Anime Invasion, created by Wizard with the help of Topless Robot’s Rob Bricken. It helped spawn great anime writers into existence, like Anime Vice’s Gia among other great people. However, we now know that Anime Insider is in a better place; in eternal peace with Kamina, Wolfwood, and soon to be the entire cast of Naruto.
A lot of people have lost their jobs because of this loss, and for that I open up my heart. Could anything be done to prevent this loss? Is it the internet’s fault? Fansubbers? Blogs? Japanator? Who knows? If your time to you is worth saving, then you better start swimming or you’ll sink like a stone. For the times they are a-changing’. May Haruhi bless Anime Insider and its employees with peace, and let your eternal light shine upon this magazine forever. Amen
