Oh boy, a lot of robot-related news of late, eh? From a man who "is robot" to robots taking over baseball to statues of the manliest robot around, The Machines have risen from all over the 'tubes. But these machines have something in common, in that they don't cater to more feminine interests. Until now.
Robot code HRP-4C took to the ramp to frighten and disgust everyone attending the latest Yumi Katsura exhibition, wearing the latest in bridal fashion and terrifying all present with a blank gaze from a freakish face and dead, stiff-limbed gait. Giving the abomination the somewhat human-sounding designation "Mimu" did nothing, other than ruin the name "Mimu" for everybody forever.
We have quite a long way to go Chobits, I guess. Maybe we should take a cue from Ghost in the Shell and imbue our human traits in things that look more "pet-like" while we work on aesthetic realism. Hit this link for the video of "Mimu's" fashion week debut, then hit the jump to watch her in the buff. Stuff of nightmares, I tell you, especially when it tries to smile.
