Rock the charts: Japan's box office numbers 11/07 - 11/13 photo

Welcome faithful readers, to the latest edition of Rock the Charts, where we let you know the goings on of the Japanese box office. This week, we're seeing foreign films poke their heads into the Japanese market with a rather sickly display, with titles like Drag Me To Hell, Saw VI and My Rainy Days barely making a splash.

1. Michael Jackson's This Is It. 2nd week, pulling in $3.93 million.
2.
I Give My First Love to You. 3rd week, pulling in $2.10 million.
3. The Sun That Never Sets. 3rd week, pulling in $1.75 million.
4. Fresh Pretty Cure the Movie: The Kingdom of Toys. 2nd week, pulling in $1.03 million.
5. Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor. 5th week, pulling in $970k.
6. The Rebirth of Buddha. 4th week, pulling in $695k.
7. Drag Me To Hell. 1st week, pulling in $543k.
8. Feel the Wind. 2nd week, pulling in $538k.
9. Saw VI. 1st week, pulling in $444k.
10. My Rainy Days. 1st week, pulling in $331k.

Of course, we see that Michael Jackson still holds the attention of many Japanese, as I noticed a lot of my friends from Japan going to see the flick this week, I'm sure the grossings should prove helpful to the Jackson estate.
