Seriously though, if it is true, I definitely would NOT want Zac Efron to play Sousuke. Other than that, I'd be interested in watching this movie if they utilize the comedic elements of the series in the right way.

Yes I know I am acting like a child but there is no way someone who prances around singing little kiddy songs in movies aimed at 12 year old little girls could ever play a character like Sagara Sosuke ever. Not to mention making a live action version is a horrible idea because I cannot imagine any actress anywhere that could play Kaname

but then again a live action film of FMP is possible just get some of the guys who did Transformers. But some characters seem pretty hard to emulate like Souske and Kaname.

Personally I think Zac Efron would make a better Shinji than Sousuke. All he needs is the glasses and he already talks like him, so he'd be set.

I mean, Cowboy Bebop sure, that's a huge one, Dragonball sure, that's a no brainer, but FMP? I mean....that's a bit off the beaten path. Forget the rest though, if they mess this one up, I will PERSONALLY find each of the producers and get them to cancel it. That said, if they do a good job, I'll definitely be sure to recommend it to just about everyone I know.
By comparison to a lot of other anime, FMP seems like the kind of story that is perfect for American audiences...

But....how many of you can imagine any school sitcom that's come out so far where an explosion goes off in the hallway... I still can't picture that.
