Sakamichi no Apollon gets new spin off manga

This is a great week for Sakamichi no Apollon fans. It was recently announced that in addition to getting an anime adaptation on April of this year, the series will be also getting a new spin off manga. Scheduled for release on March 28th, the story will be penned by original creator Yuko Kodama and published on Shogakukan's Monthly Flowers magazine.

Aside from being completely ecstatic about the prospect of seeing Shinichiro Watanabe (Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo) and Yoko Kanno (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex) work together in the upcoming anime adaptation, now I can also look forward to more delicious story content. Needless to say, I am a happy camper.
