Much to my chagrin, I love it whenever someone makes a new Evangelion-themed piece of merchandise. Not only does it give us something to write about here at Japanator HQ (actually a dank cave in range of someone's Wi-Fi), but it continues to build on the legendary series' legacy as having some of the most ridiculous merchandise ever.
This time it's a whole apartment building in Sapporo, Hokkaido, called the "A.T. Field". I'd sure love to live in that building.
Or maybe not. Besides having black doors modeled after the holographic monoliths used to conceal SEELE members' identities and a long vertical stripe that's as red as the Lance of Longinus, there's not much besides the name to convince us this thing is very "Eva". Plus, the residences themselves aren't really modeled after Misato and Shinji's domicile - though that apartment was crap, so I can't blame them for classing it up.
That said, nerdy buildings are pretty cool, regardless. Next time you're looking for living space in Sapporo, give the "A.T. Field" a look. Also check below the jump for some awesome English text from the front lobby.

After reading a recent article about getting free refills of curry sauce, I had my doubts. I completely trusted in the news, do not get me wrong, but it seemed too good to be true. There had to be some catch. I mean, seriously, we are talking about getting free curry sauce here. Join me as head into my local Coco Ichibanya in rural Japan and try to ask for a second helping of their fine sauce.
