SDCC '12: Gokaiger will be Megaforce's second season photo

[Update: Based on a teaser trailer that was shown at the Power Rangers Panel, there is a chance that the Great Legend War might play a role in Power Rangers: Super Megaforce.]

It looks like Gokaiger won't be left out of the 20th Power Rangers series after all. Before you dismiss this as some sort of rumor, it was confirmed at the Power Rangers Panel at Comic-Con 2012 that the second half of Power Rangers: Megaforce aka Power Rangers: Super Megaforce will use footage from Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger.

When Saban wanted to recreate Mighty Morphin Power Ranger's story elements for the 20th anniversary series, they were not kidding around. Since the original Rangers received a second season upgrade in the form of the robots from Dairanger, I guess the Megaforce Rangers won't be left out of this trend.

The question that still remains is if we will get to see the Gokaiger's costumes in the series, or if they will be Goseigers that can change into the previous Rangers and ulitize the Gokaiger's machines. Does this also mean that Saban plans to bring back the trend that went on from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers to Power Rangers in Space for the shows that take place after Megaforce? For now, let's just sit back and wait until Super Megaforce airs in 2014.

To all of you Power Rangers/Super Sentai fans in the house, are you glad to see Gokaiger make an appearance as a seasonal upgrade, or are you concerned that the pirate theme won't get the proper treatment that it deserves.
