Well, according to Andrew Lazar, a producer for Warner Bros. any ways. Apparently the movie itself is considered a priority for them, and if we're to believe Lazar's comments, they're actually working on the script as we speak. Lazar let this llittle tidbit of info slip during a discussion about the graphic novel western turned live-action, Jonah Hex, which he is currently working on.
No word on if a cast is attached to project, but I think we can safely assume that Leonardo DiCaprio is not involved at the moment. He's not the worst actor though, so I'm sure things wouldn't be so bad if he had a role in the movie. Maybe not as Tetsuo or Kaneda, but maybe a bit role. I'm not sure if we can expect to see Neo Manhattan or Neo Tokyo either, but let's hope it's the latter. After the mess they called a Dragon Ball movie, Hollywood needs to learn that there are Asian actors, and some of the can actually, you know-- act. It'd be refreshing to see a couple attached to project.
God, I hope this is good.
