Friends, the time has finally come. This February marks the long-awaited launch of the Macross SDF-1 into space, initiating mankind's journey across the stars in search of a new home. To celebrate this joyous occasion, a large-scale event has been planned in Akihabara, entitled "Macross Super Dimension Space Launch Ceremony ~It's really 2009! It's 2/22 (Nyan Nyan Nyan), Deculture!" and promises to feature many special guests from the Macross universe.

I, for one, can't wait to GTFO of here. I'm ready to finally stop killing time writing about toys and videogames and fulfill my true purpose in life, as a proud VF fighter pilot in the newly formed UN Spacy. I'm not sure why there hasn't been more buzz about this in the news lately. I guess they don't want to worry people over the impending war with the Zentradi. I mean, that makes sense. But it's still happening, because it's gonna be 2009, and that's when we're supposed to leave on the SDF-1, Right? Right?!?
