Secret of Mana and Final Fantasy Tactics for the iPhone photo

Plenty of unexpected news filtered out of E3 last week, but a piece that really hasn't made waves, in a matter of speaking, would be the announcement of Secret of Mana and Final Fantasy Tactics for the iPhone. Square Enix didn't really go out of their way to show off the titles, opting for the use of video trailers instead -- likely due to the games not yet having been completed. That said, I'm still really excited about this and I know a lot of you are too.

I kind of wish they had given us a release date, but given the iPhone's distribution platform, who knows how long the process might take. I just hope it's sooner rather than later. What we did hear was that this version of Final Fantasy Tactics will be the same as the PSP port -- complete with cut-scenes and new characters. I imagine the multiplayer aspects will be left intact as well. So, are you guys as pumped about this as I am?

And the world continues to tell me to get an iPhone.
They need to release them on iPad since I don't use my touch anymore.
But I don't want an iPhone...
this... is great news. i've been wating for ff tactics, and secret of mana is just another unexpected bonus
oh man! I am super pumped. The iPhone has been lacking in serious games for a long time. I can't wait to see how it runs on the new iPhone 4 when its released. Thanks for the news I followed E3 pretty diligently but I did not hear about this. I'm surprised it wasn't a bigger deal this is a huge step in iPhone gaming
Let's hope that they aren't $15 like all the other apps that Square Enix has put out.
