This sounds like fun, but more for the learning experience than any actual utility I could be for Japanator in this regard. It doesn't take much kanji to stop me cold. :(

@Karen: I definitely hear you. Seriously, I feel so useless. I'm a Japanese language major, and I recently picked up Pokemon Soulsilver as a fun translation project. Although it's helping, it's mostly served to highlight how much I still don't know.

@Colette: Awww, I didn't mean to make you feel bad:(. I still have a ways to go before I can handle keeping up with Japanese blogs, I'm just impatient with myself. Although, I'm certainly going to try, if nothing else it will help me learn.

@Pangloss: Taking two years of Japanese is so frustrating, it's like I can't in good conscience say that I can read much, but I've put in so much work already:(. If you're a Japanese Major though, you should be in great shape by the time you get your degree; with 20/20 hindsight, I would have majored in Japanese too.

@Karen: I know, right? I'm in my second year right now, and I can understand just enough to make it irritating that I don't know the rest.
