Unfortunately Feb 2011 is a long time away. Thank god I learned enough japanese to keep up with the current volume 11 and soon to be 12.
If you're a firearms enthusiast and love amazing artwork and top notch action you have to check this series out.

With the fall of ADV came a lot of rescues of titles. FUNimation scavenged a number of titles from the carcass, and Yen Press came in to bring us all more adventures of Yotsuba&!. Yet by and large, ADV Manga's titles were left to sit in squallor, including one of my personal favorites, Gunslinger Girl.
I'd begged Ed Chavez, Kurt Hassler or anyone who would give me the time of day to pick this title up. I loved Yu Aida's art style and the brutal and emotional drama these kids had to go through. It's something that gripped me tightly. The manga only went up through volume six here in the US, and the Japanese was heavy for me when I tried to read later volumes.
But now Seven Seas has announced they're rescuing not only Gunslinger Girl, but Blood Alone as well. They'll be collecting the titles in groups of three-in-one volumes for $15.99 in order to catch up (Vol. 1-6 for Gunslinger Girl, and Vol. 1-3 for Blood Alone), followed by regular releases. Gunslinger Girl will hit shelves in February 2011 with a new translation and letter, while Blood Alone will bow in May 2011.
Following with this trend, Seven Seas also mentioned that they'll be releasing a number of their other series in this omnibus format. I presume that the success of Viz's VizBIG lineup proves to be a good way to keep older franchises alive, as well as make it easier to stock series on the shelf at retailers.
Alright, so who's ready to bust out the champagne? This is one happy day!
