Shaolin monks go all Scientologist and sic lawyer on Internet user (?)

Shaolin monks go all Scientologist and sic lawyer on Internet user (?) photo

This seems like a joke at first, but it's all over the 'Net, which we all know is a bastion of truth and sensitivity, so here goes: the Shaolin Temple, the face-kicking institution whose ultimate responsibility for the existence of DBZ has thus far been ignored, wants an apology from some kid who claimed on a forum somewhere that a Japanese ninja totally went Super Saiyan 3 and beat down a bunch of Shaolin monks.

"The so-called defeat is purely fabricated, and we demand the Internet user to apologise to the whole nation for the wrongs he or she did," the Beijing News said, citing a notice announced by a lawyer for the Shaolin monks. [...]It is not only extremely irresponsible behaviour with respect to the Shaolin temple and its monks, but also to the whole martial art and Chinese nation."

I'm more than a little skeptical. For one thing, as noticed, this kind of hoax has been bandied about in the past; for another, the lawyer's name and that of the forum in question aren't mentioned, and how the hell did some pissant forum poster get the attention of these guys?

In the meantime, though, maybe monks can overthrow pirates in that eternal friggin' debate (ninjas still win!).
