I know some of you probably don't follow the American rock scene very closely, let alone the Japanese one, but for those of you who follow both, like me, you'll love this. Slash's first single, "Shara," from his upcoming album Slash & Friends has hit the shelves in Japan, and features Koshi Inaba, the vocalist of B'z.
The song is actually pretty awesome, not that I had any doubts going in, but that last Velvet Revolver album wasn't exactly something I thoroughly enjoyed. It also pleases me to know that the lyrics are entirely in Japanese. Inaba didn't have to go out of his way to try and sing in English, and I like that--after all, it's not always easy for Japanese vocalists.
The catch, though? According to Slash's latest tweets, the song is only going to be included on the Japanese version of the album and I can only assume that means the single will remain a Japan-only release. Still, that shouldn't stop any of you from trying to track down a copy of the single on CDJapan because there's nothing wrong with importing it.
Take a listen to the song after the jump.
Never could get enough of Slash's solos. But to hear him team up with Inaba, its just too good to be true.
