Normally, I'd figure these sources would be reversed, but WhatJapanThinks posted the leaked pricing plans for the Softbank iPhone. The 8GB phone is going to be released on July 11th, and will be priced as such:
- Phone is priced at 19,200 yen
- Unlimited Safari browsing will cost 6,800 yen
- Unlimited Yahoo! Mail for 1,800 yen
And then Akihabara News posted that 91% of Japanese people don't want to buy the iPhone, according to Tech-On, a news site owned by Nikkei. Daimaou points out that Tech-On has bashed Apple in the past, but they are currently saying that since you can't replace the battery in the iPhone, many Japanese people don't want to buy it.
Daimou goes on to bash the survey methods Tech-On used, which provides to be a bit of an interesting read. Go and check out the post, and rest assured that Japan will be clamoring for the iPhone when it comes out.
