Sony tugs Queen's Blade off the PlayStation video store photo

Wait, that didn't sound right.

It always surprises me to be reminded that Sony's PlayStation Network video store is a veritable treasure trove of downloadable anime goodness. If you're not averse to dubs and are willing to deal with its slow, awkward interface, you can find some real gems at semi-reasonable prices.

Hell, it's even got more anime on there than Japan's own PSN store! Unfortunately though, the North American store is subject to Sony America's content controls, which include Americans' squeamishness over boobs, oppai, funbags, flotation devices, jubblies, symmetrical docking ports, or whatever you want to call those squishy things on a woman's chest.

Then again, it's hardly shocking that the people behind the black box o' Blu-ray would decide that Queen's Blade might not quite be "for" PSN's er, discerning customer base. I mean, the fight with Melona alone was probably enough to tip the scale.

Ah well, hopefully the space left by Queen's Blade's overstuffed bras will leave some room on the servers for cooler shows. Anyone want to suggest a replacement?

MOAR weird news:

Legacy Comments

I wish we got some on the European PSN, I mean not Queen’s Blade specifically but, you know.

On a similar note has anyone seen the DLC for Agarest War? The pictures are so suggestive that they’ve had to zoom in on them to the point where you can only see an eye and the corner of someone’s head. Funnily enough it makes them more suggestive since I doubt people are going to guess that it’s actually a giant sausage she’s trying to shove into her mouth...
Not only was it on the marketplace, it was on the FREE VIDEO Marketplace. As in, no charge to download :P

OOPSIES Sony :D
They put the episode back on, but you gotta buy it for $1.99. It even keeps the description & the part about the ending & Melona having her boobs explode.
I couldn't make it past episode 1 of this show. It felt like I had drank an entire case of beer.
PSN doesn't mind "Rated M" titles for videos, but I think giving away a free video (which can be downloaded without any credit card age verification) was probably against their rules.
I saw the words "Queens Blade" and immediately stopped caring.

Seriously, if one show is allowed to be batted with the 2x4 of censorship, it's this pile of putrid puss filled celluloid.
I recommend filling the vacuum with Seikon no Qwaser.
The potential irony is too good to pass up.
