This past few months has been great for Spice and Wolf fans. First, Kadokawa Pictures USA announced at Otakon that they're shopping around the Spice and Wolf anime license to U.S. distributors. Then, at New York Anime Fest, Yen Press announced that they're translating the Spice and Wolf light novels. Now, Moonphase tells us that a second season of Spice and Wolf has been decided!
The show's director, Takeo Takahashi, and the screenwriter, Naruhisa Arakawa, will be helming the project once again, but the animation studio will be changing -- this time, Brain's Base (Baccano!, Kure-nai) will be doing the show instead of IMAGIN. Likewise, the animation director will be changed to Toshimitsu Kobayashi, who has previously worked on Fate/stay night and Blood+.
I'm a big fan of Spice and Wolf so you KNOW I'm waiting for season 2!
I rarely watch fansubs until they are completed. I got tired of waiting weeks for the next episode at some point. This has only become a problem because of SPOILERs. I haunt to many anime otaku sites not to get SPOILERed though. That being said, I will be watching this one as each episode is released.
Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing. Though, I guess we will find out soon. Can't wait for the Light Novels though. It sucks not being able to understand japanese.
*hands out party hats to everyone* this is truly the time of the wolf. cant wait til this airs and for the light novels to cme oout stateside. i dont suppose we have dates on either of those?
Speaking of Furry (which this isn't) I got to thinking about Furry Cons and what would happen if there was a fire? Would all the furry cosplayers go up in a blaze of fake fur? one can only hope ...
Horo is a furry, it's just S&W fans don't want to admit it. (There is no such thing as "10%". Furry is a state. You either are or you aren't, just like you either are infected with a virus or you aren't. GET USED TO IT.)
@Heero - Don't get me wrong, one of the key points I make in Wolf & Spice discussion is that Horo is a furry because she herself identifies herself as an animal, it's bad enough she apparently has enough fur to hide her nipples, but to actually refer to herself as a wolf, that's dangerously furry.
I came for Horo, and that's what I stayed for, though the economics portion interested me far more than I thought it would.
I came at this announcement. More Econ!
lol, yeah I got interested in this anime due to Horo. What can I say I love furry, but not into that other IRL stuff. I like good furry due to the art style. I've found some really good drawings that blew my mind. To those who like furry (nothing XXX) here's a link to a good comic im reading.
