Rather than read about the new anime coming in Spring 2009, I'd rather see some of it. And I think you'd rather see it, too. That's why I'm showing you this handy dandy niconico@nime.TV video featuring all of the hot new anime coming up this season. I guess I should say first that this whole thing is in Japanese, but that's never stopped you before, right? And some of the key information you'll be interested in is really apparent, like the date, title, channel and such. Plus, pretty pictures are universal.
I'm really excited about a lot of what's coming on this season:
Am I the only one that liked La Corda D'Oro ~ Primo Passo? If so, I'll also be the only one enjoying a second season, Kiniro no Corda ~ Second Passo, the sequel of the music school anime about a girl that sucks at music until she gets a magical violin.
Watching this preview line-up with comments switched on at Nico Nico Douga was fun, especially when Star Wars came across the screen. Unison laughing. Good times.
My interests are primarily focused on Keion, the new Kyoto Animation show. It's 4-koma, just like another show I love from KyoAni. Oh, and it's also about music.
Amidst all the fancy video clips are a boring (but still cute) panning image of Yuki removing her glasses. That's all we get until April 2nd?
Other notables:
Senjou no Valkyria
Hayate no Gotoku
Fullmetal Alchemist
Japanator: The Anime
Resutorante Paradeiizo
What here looks like something you'd like to watch? I miss the days where I was watching too many shows at once, but it looks like those times have come again. And this isn't even getting into the J-drama side!
I think you know I like La Corda from yesterday. XD And don't you mean TalesofAwesome? :P And there is no other Tales of anime in there. You probably mean "Tears to Tiara".
I'm excited for Pandora Hearts. The Spring line up looks really good.
Valkyria Chronicles definitely, K-ON definitely, new FMA probably, Haruhi -AHHHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA I laugh at you!!!, Hayate 2 probably, Natsu no Arashi I'll at least try out, and Mary and Gary - wtf? lol.
K-ON! - It's KyoAni and music. What more could you want?
Pandora Hearts - Yuki Kajiura soundtrack = autowin. The PV was really good, except I still don't know what the basic plot is.
Valkyria Chronicles - Looking forward to this. All I've seen so far is basic character design, but it really appealed to me.
07 Ghost - Saw the PV and it looked alright. Code Geass-type character design is kinda meh but the story looks moderately interesting.
FMA 2 - Good for me since I hear it's a remake that's more manga-oriented. I never actually got around to watching the first season all the way.
Shin Mazinger Z - It's Mazinger...
Tears to Tiara - A LEAF VN adaptation. Should be something like Utawarerumono, but hopefully better.
Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~ - Something I'll try out but maybe end up dropping.
Asura Cryin' - Not exactly sure what this is about, but it's a ghost anime that seems like it could have potential. I'll watch a few episodes and see if I continue.
Natsu no Arashi! - It's SHAFT. At least worth trying out.
-----------------
Other notable possible releases include:
Spice and Wolf II OVA (episode 0) - If it comes out in April like it's supposed to, I will be very, very happy. More Horo = win.
Nanoha 4th season - May or may not come. I heard about this somewhere and am not sure about how true it is. Possibly in April?
Valkyria Chronicles- Like the game
Hayate The Combat Butler 2- as long as JC Staff doesn't somehow screw it up.
Natsu no Arashi! - SHAFT
FMA 2: If it is the manga storyline.
Shin Mazinger Z- Awesome
K-ON-Maybe...Only because it's Kyoto Animation.
Cross Game
- Based on a manga by Mitsuru Adachi who is a GREAT mangaka. Notable works include: H2, Touch, Rough. Many of his works were made into drama, anime, movies.
Guin Saga
- Based on a Japanese western fantasy novel that is aiming to be the longest fantasy novel EVER -_- already over 100 books, I don't know who's idead it was to make this into an anime.
Fullmetal Alchemist - Not sure if I want to watch the same 30 episodes again. I might drop by for the new ending.
Valkyria Chronicles - I don't expect too much, but I can't wait to see some secondary characters animated.
Dragonball Kai - For nostalgia's sake, I will watch.
The rest - Not interested. At all. In other words, time to catch up on older stuff. Okay, maybe Mazinger or Shangri-La (hey, GONZO did NHK justice before).
Pandora Hearts looks mildly interesting (from 5 seconds of content).
Fullmetal Alchemist (I don't know if I'm allowed to not, our society President loves it)
Valkyria Chronicles
Hayate
I usually download the first episode of most and decide from there.
I'll give Phantom and Basara a go, but I'm most looking forward to Valkyria Chronicles - loved what I saw and played of the game, so hopefully the anime will live up to it.
The 07-ghost manga is pretty good. SO I'm looking forward to that. Plus FMA and Haruhi if it comes out.
I'll probably pick up others once more info comes out.
