"A storm gathers" reads the headline of Square-Enix's latest teaser which announces an announcement. Or, I think it reconfirms the announced announcement. Or it is announcing something that will be announced but has been talked about before. Kind of. They are teasing us, is the point I'm trying to make. And they will reveal their hand on September 1 for the Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary event.

Anyway! According to the block of text on the site, very important people who worked on the development of the Final Fantasy XIII games are making another game. And it has something to do with a very important character of those games - Lightning!

Now, nothing is being concretely said here but maybe, just maybe, Final Fantasy XIII-3 will be announced on September 1. I think that's too obvious, though, so let's play the fun thinking game! Staring into the picture for any sort of hint in the gathering storm, I see a dinosaur. What are the chances we are looking at Chocobo Racing 13: Lightning Rides Dinosaurs being announced at this event instead? Would you be more interested?

Joking aside, I loved both 13 and 13-2 so I'm quite excited to see a potential 13-3 come along. There was a significant jump in quality in the sequel so I think there is a strong chance 13-3 could be even better. That all said, aren't we due for Final Fantasy XV info instead?
