The more details come out about Square Enix's new action game NieR, the more confusing the whole affair becomes. Now we're hearing that the game has two titles, NieR Gestalt and NieR RepliCant, and statements imply that each is platform-exclusive to the Xbox 360 and PS3, respectively. Are they identical games with exclusive content, two different games, or what?
There is, however, one detail that Square Enix has decided to make clear: that NieR Replicant's female character "Kaine," is a hermaphrodite ("futanari"). Magazine scans reveal that Kaine is a partner of Nier, the game's protagonist, who was bestowed with extra er, equipment due to demonic possession. Out of resentment for being bullied by others, she dresses to emphasize her female characteristics, though her manners, attitude and speech remain very rough and masculine.
So, which PS3-exclusive female character do you prefer, Kaine' or Tales of Vesperia PS3's loli pirate, Patty Fleur?
