Strike Witches anime director asked to work on filmKazuhiro Takamura, the same director who has been at the helm for two seasons of Strike Witches has been asked to take the lead directing a Strike Witches feature film which is scheduled for release in 2012. The film was originally announced in October 2010, so they've got lots of time to work on the movie and make it good! Takamura is no newcomer to the anime world, and has had experience no only directing, but also has done character design and storyboarding, both of which he brought to the table with Strike Witches. Although there aren't any details about the film itself, I'm sure it'll be like most anime-based films, which includes more of the same, a little fan service, and a plot the eventually loops right back into place with the rest of the continuity and doesn't have an extreme (or any) effect on the plot as a whole. So, are there any Strike Witches fans that are looking forward to seeing the original director take on the film project? At least there's a good chance that this means the film will have a very similar feel to the series, which is usually a good thing if you're a fan. Did you know? Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)I am excite, but I am pretty sure the anticipation will have worn off by the time in finally comes out next year. I'll be curious about this. I saw the first season and thought it was cute and had an interesting plot. I felt the twist coming at the end of the series kinda like a tunnel that twists just enough so you can't be certain exactly which direction its going to come out. 7:00 AM on 06.19.2013 Shonen Showdown 6-19-2013It's time once more for the battle anime and manga recap that you love, Shonen Showdown!
