Mistaken identity
Okay, sorry. *whacks self with Hammer Of Justice! for the stupid pun* Seriously, though, this story is so bizarre that I can't tell if it's for real or not; certain publications have reported a Japanese firm scamming customers into buying "poodles" that turned out to be strategically shorn sheep. Yes, you read that correctly. Depending on which pulp you read, it's because lambs or poodles - possibly both - are rare in Japan and few people know what they look like in person; apparently, "Poodles As Pets" was shut down following Japanese actress Maiko Kawakami's embarrassment on a talk show in which people pointed out that her unsatisfactory new dog was actually livestock. YouTube has failed to yield any clips of this, so I'm just going to wait for someone to tell me it's a big ol' weird joke. *EDIT* And it's Snope'd! Thanks for the point-out, Chris Taran. A tiny increment of my faith in humanity is restored. Still, as DMV noted, you always have to wonder about general weirdness out of Japan. (I did note the emphasis one story put on only Japanese women being dumb enough to buy fake poodles. Not cool.)

I don't live in Japan; and I've never done business with this "Poodles As Pets" company. Regardless, I must practice caution and conduct a cursory analysis of my own poodle.

It seems I'll just have to laugh at my image-posting efforts and give up here.

After extensive searching on google in Japanese, turns out to find nothing related to this

@Ivan, you can post images. Just make sure it's uploaded somewhere else that you can hotlink into, and use the html code of img to link the image.

I'm not sure you're talking about anything different than what I actually did. Anyway, here's what I tried and perhaps you or someone else can point out my mistake:

I put the pic up at ImageShack and used the "img src" tag here. I entered the tag correctly (enclosed it, used quotation marks for URL, etc.). The URL I used was the Image Location of the pic, which you'll see an option to copy when you right-click over an image in FireFox.

There you have it.
