Superhero Time 5-1-12

8:00 PM on 05.01.2012 // Salvador G Rodiles

This is no delusion, but Superhero Time has landed on the first day of May. It is also the time of month when students are getting ready to overcome their finals.

At the end of the day, you are rewarded with the privilege known as summer break. Cherish your peaceful time off, because the assignments and tests are going to return with reinforcements when the fall semester begins.

I wish you the best of luck in your battle, brave warriors! Let's begin the first segment of Superhero Time that takes place during the month of May.

Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters Episode 10

Nick gets into hitchhiking.

I thought that the whole thing between Hiromu and his older sister was over, yet there was still a string of doubt that still lingers inside of her heart. You can leave it to good old Nick to patch things up, except that Enter is plotting something huge.

I don't know how they do it, but they did it. I was somehow driven to tears again with the outcome of this sibling quarrel. Either they did a good job with that segment, or I am just a kid at heart -- I think I am going go with the former on this one.

Despite the slight silliness that Go-Busters has with its dialogue, the series surprisingly touches upon some serious moments. I enjoyed today's episode so much that I even decided to forgive that one fight that defied Go-Buster-Oh's nature. Big things are being planned for Go-Busters in the future, which might make room for new characters to join in.

Kamen Rider Fourze Episode 33

Magnifying lens close up!

It's time for another change of scenery in today's heart bursting episode of Kamen Rider Fourze as Gentaro, Yuki, Ryusei, and Kengo head to Kyoto for a class field trip. Joining them today is a new classmate who swears that she will make Gentaro hers. But at what length will she go through to make this happen?

So many cartoony things went on during the memorable field trip as we witnessed Dig being used in live-action, traditional costumes, blackmailing, and techniques that will come in handy when trying to keep someone away from love. And to think that something sinister is going on behind the scenes.

What blew my mind today was the fact that an organization from a previous Rider series made a cameo, which was also connected to Gamou's (I referred to him as the chairman in the previous installments.) plan. With Leo jumping into the fight, Kyoto is going to turn into an intense battleground. And I would not want it any other way, because we need something that can top the combined powers of Cosmic State and Meteor Storm.

Hikonin Sentai Akibaranger Episode 3

Boukenger, attack!

I could not help but to lose it throughout the entire mess that went on during today's battle to protect Akihabara. Better yet, a certain beverage that adults love to drown themselves in made way for an assortment of priceless gags.

Even if some of the gags were making fun of certain terminologies within Super Sentai, the nature behind each joke felt like something that anyone might relate to in regards to associating with a fanbase. On a different topic, we actually get to see Yumeria try on other kinds of cosplays today, which I find her quite adorable when she has short hair. Unfortunately, we get to witness a dark side to her that most people tend to fear if it goes too far.

The direction that Akibaranger is going is one amusing yet random route, and the show could do anything with the fate of the group. I might not have shown it here, but hearing the theme songs from previous Sentai series in Akibaranger makes me jump for joy every time they pop up.
