Hey guys, you know what's cool? Catherine is cool. Yes it is, and I don't care what you say. Atlus and Team Persona's take on perpetuating negative stereotypes about romance - for both genders this time - and male-female relationships has paid off in popularity and revenue; Catherine set the record for Atlus' highest-selling launch period ever.

And apparently it's paying off in indie gravure works too. Who'da thunk it? Actually, everyone would'a thunk it, considering that gravure parodies are super-popular in any scene. And now gravure outfit has turned its eye to Atlus' new baby, with Another Take on Catherine, a live-action pin-up film starring cosplay queen CoCo.

The production comes courtesy of Studio Happy Chicken (website NSFW), and will likely feature 3-D ladies dressed up as 2-D ladies, posing, and sexiness.

Also note: Another Take on Catherine is NOT officially sanctioned by Atlus. Like most gravure parodies and pretty much the entire doujinshi scene, it's a product of Japan's general habit of looking the other way when it comes to that sort of thing.
