According to the latest info from Bandai Namco Games and a leaked copy Jump, Tales of Xillia 2 now has a release date of November 1. At retail the game will run you a painful 8,380 Yen, which is about $105. I know, I'm grimacing too. As is usually the case, ToX2 wil have a plethora of preorder bonuses including a novel that covers what happened between games, downloadable costumes and a custom PS3 theme.
Additional info reveals that both Alvin and Leia from the first game will be playable party members in ToX2, complete with brand new costumes. The key staff members are apparently the same between the two titles.
There you have it folks! The primary info has hit the streets, which means all that's left is to get better looks at the game itself and the ways in which it improves on the first game. Tales of Xillia has a solid shell but is missing a lot of elements that help to make Tales games so much fun. It's not a bad game by any means, but I'm hoping that they build on top of the skeleton they already have.
