TBS totally misrepresents ero-ge situation, rape games not actually banned

TBS totally misrepresents ero-ge situation, rape games not actually banned photo

Well, now I've learned my lesson: Never take TBS news at its word. Canned Dogs has an update from their story yesterday, with an update from an ero-ge industry person with details of what happened. Basically, TBS went and did an interview with the Ethics Organization of Computer Software (EOCS) about the whole Rapelay situation, and they edited the footage from the interview to totally misrepresent the stance o the EOCS and blow things out of proportion.

So, EOCS got a request for another interview a day later, which they rejected because of what they did with the Rapelay interview. And so? TBS reports this news out of the blue. Everyone was taken aback in the ero-ge industry, as was all of the Internet.

And so, there was word from ero-ge industry members from 2ch, which basically said that we'll have to wait until the meeting on June 2nd to find out what's really going on.

It hasn’t been decided that rape games will be regulated, they still have to listen to the opinions of all the member companies so something like that won’t be passed that easily. But we can’t be optimistic about this.

Canned Dogs posts a translation of a deleted post from an EOCS director's blog, which goes into detail about the situation revolving around it, and I highly recommend you read it.

All I can say is I'm glad this isn't the case, but hopefully media pressure isn't going to force them to take extreme measures when it comes to any sort of regulation on ero-ge.
