Remember Tokimeki Memorial? No? Don't be surprised. It was one of the first dating sims around, first released for the PC Engine in 1994. It's one of the few series to ever get versions featuring a female protagonist, and has consistently taken the scene by storm with each major release.
Konami looks to be positioning another wave of TokiMemo for the new generation, having announced Tokimeki Memorial 4 for the PSP. The new installment will have a full roster of nine possible heroines. The "Complete Set" edition of the game will also come with a free DVD (or Blu-ray) OVA entitled ~Hajimari no Finder~ ("First Finder"), which depicts the first day of school, allowing the player a glimpse of each heroine before actually meeting them in-game.
The complete set will also include a two-disk soundtrack, a five-disc character single disk, a 2010 schedule book, a "Kirameki Watcher's Guide," illustrated clear file, two special, unannounced extras.
A pretty big set, suitable for the scion of fifteen-year-old franchise. Hit the gallery for a scan of the roster, which, as Canned Dogs remarks, will probably need girls with blue, pink and green hair to be recognized as a true TokiMemo title.
Ah, how far we have come.
