Robotech, Macross, or whatever you want to call it has just been picked up by Warner Brothers to be made into a live-action film. Though the weird part about it is Tobey Magurie will be producing this film -- and might even act in it as well. I’m not sure if Tobey is cashing into the giant-robot craze that Transformers has created, or is truthfully a closet Robotech fan. Either way, this will not be sent into pre-production hell like most anime films (looking at you Ninja Scroll).

How can I predict the future in knowing that this movie will be made? I can because they already hired a writer, Craig Zahler (The Brigands of Rattleborge). Not just that, but it is a well known fact that Spiderman always gets the job done, and does it with flair. I am seriously looking forward to this movie. However, in order for it to be good, they must pick the right person to play Roy Focker. Who do you think they should pick?
