Warning: this announcement is for serious fans of anime only. If you are not a serious fan then get the hell out of here. Yeah you, Narutard and you cosplayer wannabe, this anime is too good for you scum like you! Dear God what happened to me. This trailer is turning us against each other.
Now that I regained my sanity here is the trailer for the upcoming dub of Gurren Lagann. As you already guessed, this trailer does not take itself seriously, which is good because Gurren Lagann does not take it self seriously as well. I would honestly prefer a more, epic-style of trailer like this AMV shows us, but I can live with this. Despite what you all think of this trailer, I think Gurren Lagann’s future in America as a whole might be a little bit more important at this stage.

Hm. I'm not going to start on the "GREN LAGUN!" boat, because it's not worth it. But, I will say it was quite funny, matching the more comical aspect of GL, but, I think they should have thrown in a bit more of the epic GAR moments that made Gurren Lagann a favorite. The disclaimer had me chuckling though.
Oh, and we should all be against Narutards, they aren't even people. There...beneath people.
Trailer didn't do it for me. The comical aspect of early Gurren-Lagann was certainly one of the draws, but what really drew me into a show was Kamina's GAR! As such, I would have prefered a trailer that focused more on that rather than advertising Gurren-Lagann as a comedy.
Wow, I will give them credit, although not really focused on the show itself, that was a very fresh take on trailers. Especially since I was halfway expecting it to be at least sort of serious even with Len's disclaimer, it still caught me off guard enough to get me laughing. Nice job ADV!
