The Dragon Ball Z movie is moving forward with production. Justin Chatwin (the kid who played Tom Cruise's son in the horrible War of the Worlds movie) will be playing Goku while James Marsters, famously known as Spike from the Buffy T.V. series, will be playing Piccolo. Justin has already been in training with 87Eleven who will be the stunt performance company for the DBZ movie and have worked on movies like 300 and The Matrix. It also sounds like Piccolo will be the main villian in the movie.

I just can't see this working. It's bad enough when movie companies think making a movie based on a videogame is a good idea, but to take a cartoon and make it into a live action movie? That just has fail written all over it to me. I love James Marsters, he's a great actor, but I might lose a little respect for the guy when I see him painted green. The one saving grace of all this is that Stephen Chow will be producing the movie. So far, everything he has put out have been amazing. Now that I think about it, maybe this can work. Replace the characters in Kung Fu Hustle with DBZ characters and it may have well been an episode of Dragon Ball Z.

Do any of you think that the DBZ movie has a chance in hell at succeeding?
