Whoa, I didn't even know they were making a DBZ movie. I love DBZ but a live action version ah.....maybe, they have some good people behind it. The action is the main part.

I'm a big Buffy/Angel fan so seeing James on the cast will make me go see the movie, but I know it will be crap. Also wtf Picolo, he would have done a better Vegeta. Also no Vegeta in the movie is crap. They call it DBZ but it's more a weird variation of DB, bleh...

I'm not trying to sound racist, but does anyone else think that an American cast is going to do do an anime justice? I mean, I really can't picture all these white guys flying around, shouting and firing kamehameha waves. I think this actually might turn out to be some good quality comedy.

If Stephen Chow has power overseeing the whole thing, I have hope.

Stephen Chow as the producer seems to be the only right role so far. I'm actually looking forward to this movie a little, but Justin Chatwin as Goku...that sorta killed my expectations. I haven't really liked any of the roles he's played before.

Either way, I guess it's still worth it to see James Marsters as Piccolo though.

At this rate a Yakitate! Ja-Pan live-action would turn out better than this.

I've never said this about any movie before I've seen it, but this will...suck.....apocalyptically.

Stephen Chow being attached is the only really I would considering watching it on HBO(there's no damn way I'm spending $11 on this.)

I say give it a chance. I dunno about you guys, but I enjoyed Transformers the movie even though the whole story-line was changed. It was full of action, loved the special effects and the story-line was pretty cool. Don't dis the movie until it comes out, then the sparks can literally fly. Let's see this movie first before trashing it to kingdom come.

lets not jump to any conclusions here of "OMFGZ there gonna ruin the cartoon by making a mega crappy film by changing a storyline around thats already been set down since the 80's!"...sure maybe the cast is a bit of bollox but its not like they can hire any BIG names...not with the budget they have i'm sure (altho wesley snipes as piccilo would FARKIN! rawk) remembering theres alot of holes in the DB saga between storylines so maybe this movies gonna try an fill in some blanks...or better yet, its gonna have a completely different storyline to what the base production of DB had on the cartoon...think about it! the spice girls re-form an only goku an his friends can stop them! that'd be cool! but highly unlikely to happen

an to digress a bit to do with story lines...does anyone know the name of the villge crilen even came from before studying under master roshi?..movies are good for the purpose of filling in the gaps, especially if their basing it off a cartoon....i didn't see anyone whinging when they re-made aeon flux :P (not in my end of the world anyway)

i just wonder how many of the characters from the original cartoon, are gonna feature in the film...anywayz i've yapped on enough

Marsters will play KING Piccolo, not regular Piccolo, I believe. Well the name in the movie is LORD Piccolo. Also this movie is setup for failure for numerous reasons:
1)The fact that it is Live Action-why couldn't they put some $ into this and make it CGI
2)They're pointlessly copying elements from Spider-Man-'Goku' in high school being bullied by Agundes the Latino jock, sounds like Flash Thomspon bullying Peter Parker to me.
3)Bad casting- Skinny wimps like Chatwin, Marsters, and R&B singer Mario-you heard me, MARIO, what is he doing in this movie?!
4)Hollywood is involved-that's never a good sign.
5)Wong already made a Matrix ripoff in The One, better not make aerial fights clutsy like they were in the Matrix Revolutions-yeah by the way, the people who did the training in that are involved in this one.
