The Mega Tamago by McDonald's Japan cannot possibly end well

The Mega Tamago by McDonald's Japan cannot possibly end well photo

When you take a bite into a juicy Big Mac, do you ever feel like something is missing? The meat just isn't big enough, and I have a craving for bacon. But wait, it's only 8:29 in the morning, I can't have a Big Mac in the morning. Well, maybe if I add an egg it will be okay. Leave it to Japan to actually solve this conundrum pondered upon by only 3 people.

It's name is the Mega Tamago and, of course, only sold in Japan McDonald's restaurants. It's like a regular Big Mac, only with 3 beef patties, 2 slices of bacon and a single egg added on top. I can't possibly think up a logical reason to see how this was even created. I just can't imagine eggs on my Big Mac. Bacon on my Big Mac, hell yes, but not an egg. I'm just glad that this thing will in all likelihood stay overseas. I can only imagine how much further waistlines would grow if the Mega Tamago appeared on U.S. menus.

AWESOME WANT
I do at least want to try it.
how in hells bells do you fit that in your mouth. in before "thats what she said"
That actually looks pretty good although I'm sure it's a heart attack waiting to happen.
Maybe if you took out two of the hamburger patties and that extra layer of bun.
*unhinges jaw*
My husband loved Tamago macs when we were in Japan, but even he may think this is too much. Hang on, I'll ask him.....

No wait, he thinks "cool!"
I dunno about McDonalds burgers, but I had a bacon cheese burger at a Red Robin once, with an egg on top. It was, quite honestly, the best burger I ever ate.
But I hate McDonalds food, so I can't give my opinion for this one without bias.
Does this happen only to me or eggs makes everybody's sandwich dismantle by slipping the middle?
I'm curious on a "Oh my god, that does not look healthy at all... but I want to try it anyways..." level.
Putting an egg on top of a burger is old school.. Just go to any good diner in the U.S.
I think I may have to try and make this. Will provide video if I do.
Just had this last night in Shinjuku. The sauce and bacon make a peculiar combination, but the fries were on point.
I'm doing this... I will order a bacon McMuffin at breakfast, then save it until lunch. I will then, at lunch, order a Big Mac, and slip the bacon and egg into it... It may be missing the third patty, but it will RULE.
That's a rather odd configuration. Why put the three patties that far apart?
Whose Jaw is that huge??

Impossible!
That's what i call a CHALLENGE XP
Got to chime in on the "burger on egg = old school" as your lack of knowledge on the subject casts the whole article into a dim light. Got to know your stuff before you try to talk smack, IMO.

Eggs on a burger can make it so rich and good although it can also be an excuse to make a poor quality hamburger.
I don't think American waistlines will change at all if this comes here... we already have the Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger from Jack's, and http://thisiswhyyourefat.com/ has plenty of examples of stuff that's less healthy than this...
that bacon does not look cooked enough for my taste. :|
I've always wanted to try this burger, but never could due to the fact that I live 6,000 miles away from Japan. I decided that the next best thing to do was to head to my local McDonald's and recreate it myself. Oh yeah, and I made mine a double...

Curry Refills at Coco Ichibanya in Japan

After reading a recent article about getting free refills of curry sauce, I had my doubts. I completely trusted in the news, do not get me wrong, but it seemed too good to be true. There had to be some catch. I mean, seriously, we are talking about getting free curry sauce here. Join me as head into my local Coco Ichibanya in rural Japan and try to ask for a second helping of their fine sauce.

Japanese Snacks: The ice cream with my name on it

These are Japan's favorite snacks

Japanese snacks are great. And it looks like even the Japanese know that, too. Or at least, just under a thousand of them do. According to a poll of 906 people, Glorious Nippon prizes five snacks above all others. Because all it takes to count the millions that live there is 906 people, right? Check out the five Japanese snacks to rule them all below. Will Pocky be among them?!
