Anime News Network reports that the shonen-ai sports manga The Prince of Tennis has been picked up (stolen) by China and will be made into a live-action television drama (aka. construct shoes by gunpoint). The plan is to release this show around June of next year, a couple of month before the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. Coincidence? I don’t think so. There isn’t a better way to get a populace excited about sports than to watch Echizen perform a flawless twist serve.
