Well, either him or whomever does Apple Store interiors.
Normally a stay in one of Japan's famous capsule hotels is akin to spending the night in a laundromat dryer, something only a few steps up from sleeping on the curb. The spaces in Kyoto's soon-to-be-opened 9H Capsule Hotel, though, look pretty dang cool, if as small as always.
The hotel was named "9h" after the time-spending its owners had in mind for the typical capsule hotel routine. Guests would spend 1 hour washing up, 7 hours sleeping, and 1 hour getting refreshed and ready to leave, summing up to 9 hours. That said, one can spend up to 17 hours in a single stay, putting that concept in the can. 9h's various amenities and goods are all custom designed by Fumie Shibata's famous Design Studio S, including special branded slippers, soap, and bed dressings. Not too bad a deal for about $50.
The building itself will be 9 stories tall, host 125 capsules, locker rooms, showers, and a lounge for guests to stay in while they tried to remember what the hell happened in their lives that would bring them to a stay in a luxury capsule hotel.
Frankly speaking I wouldn't mind staying in one for a little while, but I'm afraid that I might hurt myself, since I tend to sit up in the middle of the night while sleeping.
