Scott Green sent out this video to the twitterverse last night, and I couldn't help but watch. After all, how often do we get to see works that combine hip hop and anime? Well, besides AMVs.
And you know what? I enjoyed it, for the effort that it was. Chalk it up to my relative inexperience in the world of hip hop and rap, or just my poor taste in music, but there was a genuine effort here that I could connect with. I had some troubles with the pacing and mixing in Japanese, but otherwise I enjoyed it.
Yahya, the artist behind the song, currently has two tracks up for his The Otaku Express single: "The Third Child" and "Genki Dama." Interestingly enough, Yahya doesn't have a website or anything like that, so all we have to go on are his two singles.
Oh, and this has nothing to do with the fact that my business card makes a mysterious appearance around 1:10 into the video. Check out the two songs after the jump.

Though I must say, there's some cool shit in that video that I wish was in my room.
