Tiger & Bunny: The Beginning trailer shows... nothing new
The big screen version of Sunrises' popular superhero anime, Tiger & Bunny, hits Japanese theaters on September 22. It's the first of two films based on the series and I'd be surprised if we didn't get more T&B in some form after that. Unfortunately, this first film looks to be little more than a recap using footage from the TV series. Sunrise's first trailer for the film doesn't show anything that I could immediately recognize as being new footage, but I could be wrong. It's been nearly a whole year since the series aired, after all. Apparently there'll be an entirely new character named Robin, voiced by Kappei Yamaguchi of One Piece and Death Note fame. Nonetheless you can rest easy knowing that I'll be there opening day, if only because I was a huge fan of the TV anime during its run. Ensemble casts do a lot to draw me in.
