Want a coffee table book that's sure to disturb your guests and make them feel uncomfortable for the rest of the night?
Look no further than Last Gasp's upcoming book Onikage: The Art of Toshio Saeki, a collection of the man's truly bizarre ventures into the world of erotic and grotesque pieces of art. The book is priced heftily -- $39.95 for 56 pages, but it provides a bit of insight into Saeki's process: it features the original black & white drawings, along with the color overlays, as he does not color directly on the original black and white drawings.
I'll save the gory details for Last Gasp's official site, where you can see several samples of Saeki's work. This is something I wouldn't be surprised to find in the Modern Method office next time I go down there. Any of you willing to toss down the money for this collection of Saeki's art? Remember, it's the first time his art is even being published in an English edition.
