Trigun movie releasing April 4th, 2010 photo

After much waiting and slowly becoming more and more concrete, the Trigun movie received its official site, confirming it's existence. That only led to another bout of waiting, brought to an end now: the Trigun movie, officially titled Trigun: Badlands Rumble, will be released in Japan on April 4th, 2010. Now you only have to wait until it's released. Luckily for us, the trailer is now being steamed on the official site as well -- no longer do you have to look for it on NicoNico.

Like I mentioned yesterday, 2010 is really starting to look like a good year. With several big movies and promising-looking new shows, I think we have alot to look forward to. How about you guys? Does the Trigun flame still burn? Or are you burnt out?

Big Screen Adaptation of a completely original story - 'Trigun Badlands Rumble'

Vash, Wolfwood, Meryl & Milly are coming back to the big screen!

The film is scheduled to be released on 24th April 2010.

On a remote planet by the name of “Gunsmoke” resides a race of people, using artificial life as a means of bringing energy to make cities. Just like the time of development in the western part of Autoro, this lawless world of bounty hunters, here lies a man by the name of the ‘Human Typhoon,' known to be the cause of the human disaster. With his body wrapped in a crimson coat, this is the legend of the transcendent gunman. That man’s name is Vash the Stampede. As well as living a life of bounty hunting, he is also a firm believer in what he calls “Love & Peace”. At the centre of this are the two Bernardelli Insurance Agents, Meryl and Milly, and a clergyman carrying a huge Holy Cross, Wolfwood. The charming characters and a story full of up & downs will be animated.

This “Trigun” theatre edition, will feature an original story written by author Yasuhiro Nightow. The story will focus on the characters hunting down the robber of the century. In the city of Quicksand, there is a rumor that the mayor Kepler is gathering hooligans. For the purpose of Health Preservation Assessment visitors to the city Meryl & Milly are amazed by this situation. Furthermore, Meryl, upon finding Vash, having a hunch that destruction and great atrocity will come, attempts to chase Vash out of the city, while he himself is feeling miserable from not being able to catch a female bounty hunter named Amelia. Moreover, a gang appears in the city, as well as the appearance of Wolfwood…!  The curtain opens to the great manic feast spreading across the desert city Autoro!
