Tuesday Otaku Debate: Eva Unit 01 vs. Gurren Lagann

The shojo absolute destiny apocalypse is over and done with, and we have a victor. What was the better shojo anime, Princess Tutu, or Revolutionary Girl Utena? Well, most of you haven’t watched either of these series, and the ones that have, haven’t watched them both. However, with that said Princess Tutu wins. Maybe it’s because you all like ballerinas, or that it is indeed the better of the two series, but it is our winner. Though you really should check out both of these anime, even if you don’t like shojo; if you don’t believe me read this guy’s awesome review.

Princess Tutu: 20
Revolutionary Girl Utena: 14

Take a look at the battle of the century after the jump!

Here’s a fight that can make any otaku giddy, a battle that otaku dream of every night; that’s when they are not dreaming of C.C. buttocks. Now it’s time for the number one rumble of the century, Eva Unit 01 versus Gurren Lagann; which one would win in an all out fight. Now the first thought for most of you is going to be Gurren Lagann, but I would give it a second thought.

Three words, Absolute Terror Field, which Eva Unit 01 will make great use of to defend itself. I would also suspect that the AT field would work on most of Gurren Lagann’s attacks, but might be broken to a giga drill breaker. Gurren Lagann runs on spiral power, which is formed within the pilot, while Eva Unit 01 runs on power supplied by the power cable. Though if the cable is cut, it can go berserk, which is never a good thing. So, who wins?
