Well, *I* haven't watched One Piece!

If I had to pick the "better" show, I'd vote Gundam 00, because I think it's much more thoughtfully planned out.

However, my actual vote goes to Code Geass, because it's batshit insane soap opera slapdashery makes me cackle every time. ♥ (Also, Lelouch > Setsuna any day.)

Well, I haven't seen the Gundam 00 series specifically, but I like Geass more than I typically like giant robot anime. So i'm going to vote for that, and then go watch Season 2 episode 1 that I downloaded tonight. :)

Im sorry but as epic as table-banging can be, my vote has to go to the one with the emo-est ending sequence ever---

The First "season" of Code Geass is the obvious pick here in this already rotting contest. The insanity that Lelouch followed for his quest in the destruction of the British Empire and the death toll produced by his hubris knows no end. I hoped for much in the "new season" but after watching the Lame Ass first episode, my hopes where throughly destroyed -it was like the episode of Dallas where a known character was already dead suddenly popping out of the shower kinda "awful- in nonsensical design.

In retrospect, why the hell didn't he use his power to do the right thing and spend his time trying to get the answer in regards to who gave the order to kill his mother? All you need to do is find someone on the bottom and say while using the geass, "I command you to obey all my orders!" and he has a slave for life. work it up the ladder and tada! The killer. Of course, if you've watched the fricking opening - you know how the empire truly has no clothes because he also has the Geass! In the Fricking Opening to BOOT!! Yuck.

OOOOO.. needing those extra ZEROS because of it's foolish needs to be in the "real world" makes me nauseated in every episode, then of course they kill off sub-characters with no problems to Anime-fi it and have adversaries act like IDIOTS against the pretty gundamn kids like oh- if they got them on the ropes and Do Have the ABILITY to DESTROY them the scared face leader old fart tell them to "let them go". You know if they don't show a "awful guy" NOT get blown to little bitty bits -TWICE in it!- of meat chunks and the "good guy" turns away in emo'ed acting sadness that those turkeys will be back.

And the epilogue! Every Damn cliché in the book is shown with grand delight from the creators and I have No doubt the fans over in Japan is lapping it all up again...

Of the Second "season" of ..Geass that is.

00 Gundam just for the pure mecha of it. The Lancelot may be a beast of a machine but that don't mean sh*t if you get sniped down from outer space.

I do believe, though, that Code Geass's story is better in general, however I was raised on action anime and must see crazy fighting and destruction.

I have never seen Miku sing Never Gonna Give You Up...so I vote for her again. I know, nothing to do with this, but contrary to popular belief, Miku in some way, has something to do with everything.

Wow, this is like voting between a giant douche and a turd sandwich. I haven't watched Code Geass yet but from the art design of the characters and the mecha alone I can tell I want nothing to do with it. I have watched Gundam 00 and I have to say it had its moments but not enough.

Judging the book by the corver I see ^_^ Obviously, a lot of guy watch Code Geass for a reason, most likely not for the art.

Anyway, my vote for Geass.

I have watched all 25 Gundam 00 episodes and only 6 Geass episodes since Bandai has yet to release the DVDs. I like the art in Geass more, but Gundam 00 gets my vote for having a protagonist with multiple personalities. I also love seeing the homages to past Gundam characters, such as Ramba Ral and Char.

Also, I have a soft spot for orange mecha.

How can you not love the art design of Geass? its characters designs are of CLAMP the creators of our good Mokona the god of all worlds.

Unforuntately I'll have to go with Haruhi Suzumiya as if she doesn't get the vote this world will become nothingness and I like my life. although I lean way more towards code geass, Gundam 00 is yet another john every gunda, at least from the first episode.

I've watched the first 20 episodes of Gundam 00 (I've stopped watching in order to concentrate on exams, but I can't to finish it!) and all of the first season of Code Geass (as well as ep 1 of R2).

My vote goes to Code Geass, definitely! It's so exciting and fun and immensely entertaining. The fact it's all so silly -adds- to it, I think.

Oh, and I really enjoyed the opening ep to R2!

Hmmmmmmmm...

Normally I'd vote for either of these if they were against something else, but for me, I enjoyed both so much that I think I'll just vote for both this time. Even though I'm a gundam nerd, 00 isn't at the ascended gundam level of say, Zeta, but it's not bad either, and Code Geass is very well done and I enjoy Lellouch's mastermind character a lot as well.

Heck, they're both done by a lot of the same staff!
