Last week was Lucky Star themed (sorry, Arro), and the results are upon us:
Konata, Comptiq: 11 Kagami, Comptiq:1
I hate you all.
With the end of Lucky Star here upon us, I figured it'd be fun to put up the full dance sequence for "Motteke! Sailor Fuku" that we see against the tried and true "Hare Hare Yukai" dance. Remember: we use street rules here, just like in You Got Served.

Hare Hare yukai indefinately. This is going to be a good battle.
Geez, am I the only one who's going to vote for Motteke Sailor Fuku?
I hate you all, doubletime now.
Hmm . . . I'm really torn. I love Hare Hare Yukai, but it's been done to death, y'know? Motteke is fresh and new, and also catchy.
I love them both . . . I think I'm going to go w/ Motteke, actually. Hare Hare Yukai is a great tune and a great opening to a show, but it's time to retire it. Move on up, Motteke, it's your time to shine.
I was the only one to vote for Kagami last week, I may as well stick with the underdog theme, y'know?
Motteke sailor fuku all the way
Hare Hare Yukai, definately, but Motteke is great too.
Ah, man sorry DMV you should have asked which was the better animation, because as far as dance goes Hare Hare Yukai is better. Now on animation, Motteke Sailor Fuku takes the cake with the double moe attack of the Sailor uniforms and cheerleader outfits.
Hare Hare Yukai, I just can't choose Motteke ever though I like it so much :P
Hare Hare Yukai, bitches.
Hare Hare Yukai, as much as I like Motteke, Yukai's animation and attention to detail just win's the internets.
Motteke Sailor Fuku
-Izaak, Lord of the Lotus Clan.
As catchy as Motteke is, I'd have to vote for Hare Hare Yukai. The animation is better, the dance is better, and even though it's "old", it'll probably be remembered for a much longer time than Motteke Sailor Fuku.
If only we could have seen Kagami doing Hare Hare Yukai before the show ended. Oh well...
Harehhh Harehhh Yoko Kanno...er...Yukai...
Hare Hare Yukai. The song is better, the animation quality is better, the dance itself is better, Moette Sailor Fuku has a bit more style but.... i gotta go with Haruhi.
I couldn't possibly decide, but my daughter says Hare Hare Yukai.
Nothing beats the original... MACARENA! erm... Hare Hare Yukai. Cause I don't know what the dance from Lucky Star is called.
Darn, Kagami lost by THAT MUCH?!? I like Kagami a lot more than Konata....too bad I missed that vote.
Of the two dances, although I know both and enjoy doing both a lot, I have to say I like Hare Hare Yukai more. Partly for the motions themselves, but also because I've done it with friends several times before which made for good memories.
Motteke Sailor Fuku is a great song, but the dance doesn't come off as so much of a dance, mainly because there's so many pauses where there aren't motions and the part where they're just standing and talking.
We all know HHY will win simply because it's Haruhi, which is AKA as The Juggernaut, bitch...not that I'd say it was popular, just that it was the "cool" thing to do.
But alas, I send my vote in for Mokette Sailor Fuku simply because, well, I liked Lucky Star ;)
Motteke Sailor Fuku!!
Hare Hare Yukai! It was the first of the two, and I think The Melancholy of Haruhi set a new benchmark on "dancable" openings and endings on Anime :) Besides, i love Haruhi!!!!
Hare Hare Yukai.
This is one tough debate...
...but my vote is going to go to the Hare Hare Yukai. The moves are more realistic and the way the fabric moves on the clothng adds to that as well.
Love em both and it was great to see the full dance in the last ep of Lucky Star but the animation wasn't to the same quality as the usual opening version.
Hare Hare Yukai on the other hand is full of movie quality animation awesome. Plus it's God so she wins. Just got the CD of the song this week too.
that's.. a tough one. personally, I love them both, but if I had to pick, I'd say Motteke, it's faster and just plain crazy at times, [= THE song for people to make utter idiots of themselves performing] plus, the song has the handy bonus of being insanely addictive :'D
though if I was making a decision based purely on the animation, Hare Hare Yukai would win hands down.. which is probably why it has the most votes so far.
Motteke, thats what i vote
Lol i love hare hare yukai too, >w< the movements in that one is cool, still i like motteke alot too, cos' it's like got alot of moves... even though it's impossable for me to learn it with just one person x___X
HARE HARE YUKAI!!!
it sounds more better, anyways, and its easier to dance to
Mokette sailor Fuku wins!!!! but both Mokette and Hare Hare Yukai r so KAWAII!!!!! :) lol
