I've seen the Haruhi dub and I'm not really sure if she could fit Konata's voice as well. If she can, I definitely want her to have that role.

To me I think for the English casters should mix things up but they will probably use the same just for the ease of casting.

as some one who is deeply immensed in the world of dubbing, i would have to say no. Wendee Lee is very talented and one of my favorite voice actresses, but i dont think she could fit Kona's voice. Its not like Kona and Haruhi sound the same.

BTW i would also like to confirm that Gia does infact like shota.

She'd be okay... Not perfect, but I'm sure she'd do a decent job... But better fits are out there. I'm a big fan of Kari Wahlgren. If she finds the pitch somewhere between Fuu from Samurai Champloo and Haruka from FLCL I think she'd be perfect. Another one would be Amanda Win Lee. If she drops a tad bit from her Mimiru voice then she'd be a good fit. She has just the right playfulness in her attitude that I think she could pull it off. Sadly, you don't see her in much anymore.

As I stated in Gia's blog I want Wendee Lee just because of the cafe episode alone.

Okay, for one thing, I think Wendee Lee did a pretty good job on Haruhi, though honestly I think her voice would suit Konata's character even better.

More importantly, would Luci Christian fit as Kagami? I'm trying to figure it out in my head....

While i do think Luci Christian would be a great fit for kagami, i dont see bandai getting her to do it because she lives in houston. That stuff has been known to happen, but i dont see it with this.

I think bridget hoffman would be a good miyuki...now...about minoru shiraishi....

Ummm.... Bandai got her for Haruhi, I don't see why getting her over to wherever would be a problem for them.

When I found out that Konata was Aya, I couldn't believe it. My brain couldn't comprehend the fact that this voice actress who did Haruhi is doing the voice of someone who sound's so diffrent as konata. That says alot about how good of a voice actress she is. I expect no less from Wendee Lee. It has to be her, the jokes in Lucky Star about Haruhi being connected Konata because of Aya just wouldn't be as funny if that wasn't the case in the english dub. I mean, guess I don't mind if they mix it up but it just wouldn't be the same :(. I have a feeling this will be the first time I'll be dissapointed with a dub.

Wendy Lee all the way. Like people have said above, a lot of great jokes (particularly in the cafe episode) came out of the fact that Konata and Haruhi shared the same voice actress.

Plus, I really like Wendy Lee.

If Wendee Lee can pull off having a lazy-sounding voice (which I think she can), she would make a good match for Konata.
