Last week we entered into the depths of hell as we voted for the worst character to cosplay at a convention, or in your living room if you don’t go to conventions. This all arrived from a theory I have that states that bad cosplay seems to radiate from a couple of characters that just can’t be cosplayed, or ones that are cosplayed so much that they just pollute the entire cosplay community around them. The series that is most responsible for this phenomenon is Kingdom Hearts, though to be more precise Organization XIII cosplay is mostly to blame. So please stop for now, at least give us a break until the next game comes out.
Though, it also appears as if you hate it when fat people cosplay, which I can assure you will never, ever be done away with. As long as anime exists, there will be fat people to cosplay its characters; this is a scientific law my friends.

Meet me after the jump for a duel to the death!
I can not be the only person alive who wants to see what would happen if the greatest warrior of ancient China had a duel with the greatest swordsman of Japan. Well, I know what would happen, one of them would die. So the real question is, who would win in a duel to the death, Lu Bu or Miyamoto Musashi?
Lu Bu was a minor warlord during the Three Kingdoms era of achient China. He was a master at horseback riding, archery, and fighting with a halberd. However, he is now known for being one of the most difficult opponents to beat within the Dynasty Warriors franchise. Remember: Do not engage Lu Bu!!
Musashi was a Japanese swordsman known for his distinctive fighting style with two swords and his dueling spirit. He is said to have won over 60 duels in his lifetime; however, the only thing to defeat him was cancer. He is also famous for his teachings, which were written in his book, “The Book of Five Rings.”
“Just as one man can beat ten, so a hundred men can beat a thousand, and a thousand can beat ten thousand. In my strategy, one man is the same as ten thousand, so this strategy is the complete warrior's craft.”
miyamoto musashi may be awesome, but in the end lu bu will get my vote simply because he spent the most time fighting in wartime, while musashi had to contend with post-sengoku era fighters...
Everyone knows Date Masamune or Yukimura Sanada would beat them both...and we don't even need to mention Mobile Suit Hondam, but for the sake of this debate, my vote goes to Lu Bu.
Dual swords may give you bonus Archer GAR memorial points, but Lu Bu is THE one man army of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms (or at least Dynasty Warriors makes him seem that way).
Gotta be Lu Bu, he's pretty much Date Masamune and Yukimura Sanada combined into one, and then given the personality of Oda Nobunga (in other words, GET THE FUCK OUT OF HIS WAY).
Ummm.... Musashi! he was winning duels when he was 12. He ambushed an ambush party of archers then won his duel. Killed a man with a sword made from a paddle on the way to the island the duel was on... Crazy shit
If were talking about a one-on-one duel, then I'd have to go with Musashi on this one (maybe only narrowly though). To me, Lu Bu's most impressive feat (alone) was when he fought against Zhang Fei, Liu Bei, and Guan Yu by himself, though in the end, he did end up fleeing (and I think this may have just been from the story though). I don't think there are many accounts of Lu Bu defeating notably accomplished fighters all by himself (most were already tired from battle or were recently injured by others), but it's not like I studied the Three Kingdoms era so I may be wrong. Also, his surrender(?) is what lead to his death. I'm probably more impressed with his archery skills. On the other hand, Musashi fought and won numerous duels (some were won with a single strike), and only ended up dying due to cancer. By the way, both fought in battles, and both backed sides that lost. Lu Bu is portrayed as a much better warrior in fiction though.
Gonna go with Musashi on this one. Wasn't quite familiar with Lu Bu, and he sounds like a badass. I figured I'd let the coin decide and it said Musashi.
I don't care which version: Ikkitousen green-haired gender-bendered and horny Ryofu, the novel and opera version with Diao Chan, the Sangokushi Taisen card version with the bat wings, or the historical version who deviously killed his own master Dong Zhuo.....
I want to say Lu Bu just because this takes him a little out of his element of the battlefield to just a single duel. Musashi could beat a man known for being able to bend the laws of space and time (Tsubame Gaeshi), I have yet to hear Lu Bu withstand that sort of assault yet.
Musashi, the man was a genius, and a dual-wielder on top of that. He kicked the shit out of the Assassin servant (Sasaki Kojiro) with a fucking boat oar. An unmatched dualist and a pretty decent writer on top of that.
Seriously, I don't know how we couldn't give the dual to Miyamoto Musashi, because he never ever lost one.
@DGX Goggles: Funny you mention Sasaki Kojiro and his "Tsubame Gaishi" technique... To this day it's still debated whether or not Kojiro even existed or if he was a fictional swordsman created later.
That said, I'm gonna trust Nasu Kinoko in that Kojiro wasn't real but was just a guy that was made up based on stories of lesser swordsmen Musashi probably fought...
Im gonna go vote Musashi on this one. It is possible to beat Lu Bu in the Dynasty Warriors franchise, and what's more, in the RoTK games its also not hard to defeat him (except in a duel lol).
However, im incredibly tempted to vote Sun Jian on this one (For personal reasons only, and F*** you Dynasty Warriors 5 Empires).
also "Hey Lu Bu! Lets go get some Pic-a-nic Baskets!"
@Heero: I'm not sure what scholarly sources I could possibly check to see about any debate on the issue, but the only controversy on the Sasaki Kojiro wikipedia page is concerning his age at the time of the duel, and the way the duel itself may have played out.
I've never heard of any controversy over Kojiro's existence, and I'm not sure something Nasu wrote into Fate/Stay Night is evidence enough to discount the most famous duel Musashi had.
While both are awesome, my vote goes to Musashi mainly because of Lu Bu's entirely unepic death. He begged and cried on the ground before being dragged off and executed. Besides, my ancient Chinese badass of choice has always been Xiahou Dun simply for the quote, "My mother gave me this eye!"
As cool as being a master of horseback archery may be, I vote for Musashi. That guy seriously needs to be in the next Fate/ novel.
(Possible future debate topic?)
The man lived to win. He used cunning as often (perhaps more so) as he did skill.
The Lu Bu taht most peopel know and love is teh one shown in the Dynasty Warriors franchise, and im sorry to inform those of you who knoiw him from this. he was ina ll actuallity nothing like the game makes him to be. He wasn't evil/bloodthirsty nor was he any sort of villian at all. He was simply a man devoted to the woman he loved Diao Chan, and he wa swilling to do whatever it took to keep her alive. If you want a look at what the true Lu Bu was like, in all his glory, read the original novel The Romance of the Three Kingdoms.
now after my historic speal...my vote goe sto Lu Bu ^_^
Since I did the unseemly thing and actually read the (abridged) Chinese version of Romance of the Three Kingdoms, I vote Lu Bu because of the pain I went through reading Chinese which I barely understood.
/Rewarp seriously ponders whether Charles Darwin would win in this contest.
Fuck this no contest in a one on one battle or not musashi wasa amazing singel fighter and strategist. He wins period no if ands or buts about it Myamato Musashi is one of this worlds 'original' badasses.
