Wow, we had a fantastic game of pure gambling apocalypse last week; unfortunately, most of you felt the need to pass it up. Those of you who did vote made it into an extremely close battle, which would happen if this thing actually went down. Who would win in some unknown gambling game, Kaiji from Gambling Apocalypse Kaiji or Tokuchi from One Outs? Kaiji will always be a loser, and that is why he lost this battle. However, he gave it his all, and almost won; shedding many tears in the process. Tokuchi wins this game, though admits that Kaiji was a splendid rival; and they get married and have five children.
Kaiji: 9 Tokuchi 10

The dream seiyuu voice off of the century is taking place right now at Japanator. Who is the better voice actor, Mamoru Miyano or Takehito Koyasu? Basically, it is a match up between the new and the old, the rookie vs. the sensei, “just as planned” vs. “bakame”. Now you are probably wondering who these two are, because I know there are some people out there (like me) who are very bad with memorizing Japanese names. Mamoru Miyano began his voice acting carrier in 2003, and won the Seiyu Awards’ “Best Lead Actor Award” for his role as Setsuna F Seiei back in 2008, among many other awards. Other than Gundam 00, he is also well known for his roles as Death Note’s Light Yagami, Ouran High School Host Club’s Tamaki Suoh, and Soul Eater’s Death The Kid. Takehito Koyasu began his carrier in 1988, and is considered one of the most prolific seiyuu in Japan. He usually plays villain types, and sexy bishonen. He is best known for his roles as Fist of the North Star’s Kenshiro, Gundam Wing’s Zechs, Utena’s Touga, Maho Sensei Negima!’s Nagi Springfield, and Soul Eater’s Excalibur, plus many, many more. Both of these seiyuu play relatively the same types of characters; so then who takes the cake?
