Tuesday Otaku Debate: Spring season throw down photo


Last week we had two of the newest mecha shows fight to the death for our entertainment, Gundam 00 and Code Geass. This was a very close battle as expected. It seems like all of you are equally in love with both series, though Code Geass has one more fan than the 00 crowd, so Code Geass takes the win! Perhaps it was because Code Geass had a head start in its second season, or perhaps it was C.C.’s ass; either way it was close.

This week’s debate is simple, yet so complex that it takes hours upon hours of research to form a bias-free decision. What show this spring season is the best one, so far? This isn’t based on just the first episode, but the second, or third one as well. Will Code Geass get two wins in a row? You be the judge! Now here are the combatants of this battle:

Some of these haven't actually aired yet, I think =P But my vote so far goes to Kurenai, though Nabari no Ou is better than I was expecting.

My vote goes to Macross Frontier. Its got the best action over all of the other series and has the potential for a pretty good plot.

blah...I've been behind on anime this season...the only things I've really watched are Kanokon and ToLoveRu...so in saying that Kanokon gets my vote...god To Love Ru had a crap first ep

Even though it doesn't have Roy Focker, Macross Frontier gets my vote. Kurenai and Druaga takes 2nd and 3rd so far.

I can't really decide between Code Geass, Soul Eater and Kure-nai..
That's really a very tough one.
I will narrow it down to Kure-nai and Soul Eater, since Geass has won last week already.
Soo.. the coin says Kure-nai!

I would go with Kure-nai. Though excessive fanservice from Kanokon made it tempting to pick that one.

I would have to go with Geass it forfills all the clamp I need without xxxHolic, and adds the sunrise writing staff. Season 2 is amazing so far and I plan to follow it to the end. that said xxxHolic, and Vmapire knight are honerable mentions for me.
