Last week we had the battle of the seiyuu; the new verses the old. Who is the better voice actor, Mamoru Miyano or Takehito Koyasu? Surprisingly, it was the veteran, Takehito Koyasu who takes the win this time. Considering that many of you have not seen half of the anime he appeared in, this is a miracle. You have to admit, he plays a very good long-haired cocky pretty boy; and I can imagine him being pretty cocky after winning this debate.
Mamoru Miyano: 10 Takehito Koyasu: 19
Vote for this week’s debate after the jump!
We voted two of our favorite Japanese voice actors last week, so this week we shall vote for our favorite American voice actor. Who’s the better voice actor, Steven Blum or Johnny Young Bosch? Steve Blum is known as the man who played the voice of Spike Spiegel. He is easily recognizable (along with Bosch), which means everyone sounds like Spike; this isn’t a bad thing. He also played The Big O’s Roger Smith, GTO’s Onizuka, Samurai Champloo’s Mugen, and Naruto’s Orochimaru. Johnny Young Bosch is ten years younger than Blum, and is known for his role in the Power Rangers, as well as his Vash the Stampede. After Trigun, his career exploded, and now even your grandma knows his name. He also playes Bleach’s Ichigo, Code Geass’s Lelouch, Haruhi’s Itsuki Koizumi, and Gurren Lagann’s Rossiu. Which one wins Japanator?
