Tuesday Otaku Debate: The Anime Presidential Elections!
by God Len, 11/04/2008
Tuesday Otaku Debate: The Anime Presidential Elections! photo

We have a great Tuesday Otaku Debate today, but before we get to that lets discuss last week’s winners. Last time it was the battle of the horror anime: Elfen Lied vs. Higurashi vs. Ghost Hunt. All joking aside, it was a slaughter. Higurashi won, placing itself in the emperor’s seat of greatest horror anime ever. The reason why I think it is so successful is that, for the most part, it isn’t scary. It makes you think you are watching your average harlem show, but then right at the last moment it pulls the rug out from underneath you; but by the time you realize this, you look down and the rug is right there under your feet again. Does an anime exist that is scarier than this show? I have no idea.

Elfen Lied: 22
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni: 40
Ghost Hunt: 4

Your local polling place can be found after the jump.

Remember way back to our Super Tuesday Otaku Debate when we voted for the delegates of the Anime Presidential Election? Well, it’s finally time to finish what we started and elect ourselves a president that will rule over otakudom with an iron fist. First, let me introduce the candidates of this election.

Representing the Republican party is Light Yagami for president with Rossiu Adai as the Vice President. Representing the Democratic party is Haruhi Suzumiya for president with Eikichi Onizuka as the Vice President. Representing the Independents is Kafuka Fura as President with L as the Vice President. Finally, the Gurren party with Kamina as President and Bright as the Vice President. Vote now or hold your peace.
