I also think it's silly when people vote outside of the choices that Len provides... kinda makes the original Debate pointless, no? But that's just me.

And not only did Len approve of the write-in, this would be the first time ever an external option has won the debate....doesn't that strike you as the least bit amusing? That and if he did drop out of it at this point there'd be no chance in heck of anyone beating Haruhi and everyone knows it, so it'd be just plain boring.

It really does surprise me just how few people even know who Captain Bright is though...

I'm gonna say its probably cuz all the Gundam series he was in weren't as popular or didn't appear on US tv.

I know I watched Gundam Wing first then started watching Mobile Suit Gundam and I didn't even finish watching it on tv. I watched most of it along with Mobile Suit Z Gundam, Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ, and Char's Counterattack either on my friends dvds or fansubs.

@Heero: I too am surprised by the amount of people not knowing who Bright is. Everyone would have known who Char is, but they need to learn about the great captain Bright Noa. Plus, Bright does have a better record in leading people and in not dropping colonies/asteroids.

@Niko: Yeah, that's the reason why I went with Bright instead, he wouldn't try to backstab or manipulate Kamina either. If I could have one adviser in my Cabinet it'd probably be Bright because he'd just come out and say it whenever there was something he objected to or wanted to recommend, instead of trying to scheme through it.

I can't decide on the Independents but I dislike both Republicans (fundamentalist dictators) and Democrats (possible screwed-up NWO). Light is Stalin and will turn the world into 1984 (disobey Big Brother and you become an Unperson via Death Note), Rossiu is George W. Bush (and Bruce Ironstaunch will throw a shoe at him), Haruhi is Caligula (Roman Emperor) and wields power even though she is screwed up in a bad way (Mikuru and Kyon, just.. Mikuru and Kyon). In personal opinion, I'll prefer Kamina. Instead of claiming the world for himself, he did gave us (such as Simon) control over the most powerful and awesome weapon in the universe (Gurren Lagann). And if he faces Gods as Rivals, he will only reply with one thing: "WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM/WE ARE?!" and knock down Gods like what Team Gurren did with Anti-Spiral (who is also a literal God).

And I prefer Bright since... more mecha!!!!
