I would like to say Bleach but with the characters and overall feel of claymore i think it would make a better RPG.

I agree with Teru_Kun. Claymore would make a better RPG IMHO I'm kinda sick of the angst-ridden teenager with powers that overcome every opponent by the 2nd time they meet. Give me moar dark stories. Oh yeah, and Teru_Kun, Lost Odyssey is AMAZING!1!

I think the reason we are all saying Claymore is quite simple. With Bleach, game makers seem to screw popular things up, but also it is set in a more modern time. Where as Claymore is set about the right time most RPG are set at, as well as, Claymore may just be better.

A Bleach RPG would be ok, and I have yet to see Claymore. Since no one has voted for Bleach, I pick Bleach.

I'd have to say Claymore. Bleach has too many arcs that differ completely. Claymore has a much smoother flow of events. The game would seem to have more of a goal.

ummm... Bleach. While hands down a better story in like, every way possible, Bleach would have a more friendly RPG system. The issue with Claymore would be that all of the other protagonists would be nearly identical in design. This isn't to say that the black robe wearing goons in Bleach aren't unrepeatative, but they have a bit of style to them.

The characters in bleach over a wide range of color, power, and emotion. Although less whiny, Claymore lacks any true real compelling narrative.

I mean, besides trying to kill Pris, what else does Claire try to do? Who actually backstabs her in an interesting manner? Which of her many allies actually actually matter in the long run. The only time we get a good plot narrative, we are flashing back, which is the only way Claire can even think of expressing her inner thoughts. Other than that, expect almost no dialog, even less character development, but one freaky relationship thing with a teenage boy. Joining her is a band of nearly identical warriors who fight in "nearly" identical ways. Bad guys are bad, and good guys are for the most part good.

For better or worse, at least the death gods in Bleach have a bit more personality/identity. This, in my opinion, is what would make Bleach the better game.

Notes: That first sentence was meant to say that "while claymore has hands down a better story in nearly every way"

Claymore. It has a more RPG "feel" anyway, plus I hate Bleach.

When I first started watching Bleach I kinda thought that it might make a good RPG...but that was a while ago.

Though I've only watched a little bit of Claymore I think it would make a better game, while a Bleach RPG might sell more just because its Bleach, Claymore would probably be a better game.

Plus John said "while claymore has hands down a better story in nearly every way" Story is important for RPGs too :(.

Getting back to the topic at hand, I'll vote for Bleach, merely because I haven't seen anything from Claymore. I guess I need a mine detector, or at least thats what DeepThroat tells me.

Kaili: a "great story" and a "great story for a video game" or two different things. Especially when you assume that a game made of either license will most likely be an action rpg.

Good books don't make great movies. Great movies don't make amazing video games. Its not a one to one ratio.

The story of Bleach, with its defined chapters/character development, lends itself perfect to a video game. Many bosses, multiple protagonists with highly varied playing styles. Doesn't make it the better story, but it makes a for a much more structured game. Ichigo and his peers change their objectives constantly, while Claire attempts to achieve the same thing all series long (led by piles of deus ex machina.)

If it was the series in it's entirety, I would have to say CLAYMORE. While it'd be a shorter game overall, I found in bleach there were too many forgettable chapers, and way too many chapters I didn't give two sh!ts about. All in all, I'd never finish a bleach game.

I have to go with Bleach because its characters all have moves that are pretty distinct from each other.

Claymore just has "fast sword" and "fast sword but different kind of fast". It's a better manga but not great game material

While Bleach could easily be made into a standard level up and fight the next bad guy RPG, that doesn't mean it would be anything special. I vote for Claymore because plot does matter, and a good game director could do amazing things with a story like this.

bleach cuz....thems youma in claymore will give me nightmares. and cuz bleach has that class system with the swordsman, healer, archer, artillery, and...other peoples.

1) over-the-top powers = leveling
2) the "good guys" are just begging to be type-casted (e.g. Ichigo = main guy, Ishida = range guy, Chad = powerhouse guy, etc.)
3) I've yet to watch Claymore

I'll choose either game if they can make it an arcade style side scrolling rpg like Guardian Heroes or more recently something like Odin Sphere.

Claymore would be a awesome MMORPG

because:
1.theres already a ranking system

2.in the anime they already do quest

3.they already have Dungeon parties going around killing Awakened one (boss)

4. it would be awesome to customize your character to make your very own female claymore

5.It would be awesome to have to kill other players because you received their black card because they PVP'd too much and started to awaken themselves

6.The setting and animation style would look awesome as the backdrop for the game

7.It would be totally awesome for a man in black robes to appear out of no where to hand you your next quest

8. Quest could be picking out the Yoki out of A.I characters in a town, with just the differences in the way they look like they might have horns or a monster arm little things like that.

....why hasn't this been in production yet?!

I unfortunately have not seen any episodes/manga of Claymore..

Although resolute in my opinion, Gnort does bring up some really fun ideas.

Claymore, it fits better with a more traditional game. Bleach could be a more hybrid game (like Naruto for the 360).

But according to storyline what there is is...

Chad - completely useless, underpowered, and not even humorous Fist fighter
Ishida - Speed/range Archer who has shitty level advancement and later becomes worthless, except in the end of filler arcs.
Orhime - Healer/Defensive spirt summons, who is under-par and only is worthwhile for the much later drama aspect.
Rukia - High level caster who starts off being completely worthless for the first 25 hours of gameplay.

Bleach.
There is much more variety and depth in the characters in Bleach. Without a doubt there is more character fleshing, story, and attack variety within Bleach than what Claymore has.

For an RPG their power level doesn't have to be proponent to the show.

And if we're going by the manga, Ishida wasn't powerless for that long.

I just can't imagine Bleach fights to be round based. With Claymore it's alike, but not that bad. Also, beautiful women in RPGs are always good.

Well technically... there is already a Japanese Turn Based RPG on Bleach in Japan - I imported it. But I suppose that doesn't count cuz it doesn't necessarily follow the manga to the key, nor does it go for too long.

In any case, characters in Bleach are some of my favorite... so that is my vote as much as Claymore could easily make an amazing RPG.
