It was only a matter of time before social networking site Twitter made its way into television -- after all, you hear Facebook mentioned all the time in American TV now. Even Japanator has one (and you better be following it, cause we talk about cool stuff there, like Brad Rice's fetishes).
Sanspo reports that j-actors Ueno Juri (Nodame Cantabile) and Eita (Last Friends) will be reunited yet again for a new Fuji TV project called Sunao ni Narenakute ("Hard to Say I'm Sorry"). The story revolves around five young people who meet and become intertwined through Twitter. Ueno plays a private high school teacher in love with Eika's character, Nakajii, while Megumi Seki and Tetsuji Tamayama will play the other characters. The fifth character, a doctor, has yet to be cast.
The show will kick off in April and air on Wednesday evenings. The cast alone is enough to get me watching, not to mention I'm interested to see how people will meet in real life because of Twitter. It's hard to pick someone up in under 140 characters, but I'm sure people have done it.
