Unpublished manga of Astroboy's Osamu Tezuka discovered

3:00 PM on 11.06.2012

The world really is still full of lost treasure, isn't it? An unpublished copy of a manga created by legendary mangaka and Astroboy (Mighty Atom) creator, Osamu Tezuka has been discovered. The 19 page book was given to a former classmate of the legend, who then held onto the gem for over 60 years. It was then recently discovered on display at a used bookstore, where Tezuka Productions purchased the book for a reported $37,000.

If you ask me, that's actually quite a bargain! The amazingly illustrated book dealt with pretty heavy post-war topics, and was actually drawn right after World War II. They are currently looking into publishing the book, and sharing this treasure to the world.
